Welcome to Elsmere Presbyterian Church
Home of the Elsmere Presbyterian Child Care Center
Our church has a long history of looking ahead, especially to the needs of children, youth, and the elderly, here in Elsmere, just west of Wilmington, Delaware. If you are looking for a new church home or simply exploring your relationship to the rest of us seekers, please give us a call at 302 998-6365 or click here to send us an e-mail. We are all in need of each other's wisdom, experience, prayer and good humor!

We worship every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m., with the children going to Sunday School at 10:45. Afterwards, we meet for fellowship and refreshments: this is a good time to get to know us better!
Emerging Parish Project: Since January, 2008, Elsmere Chruch has been participating in The Emerging Parish Project. Click here to learn more about this new paradigm for ministry.
Our church began in 1889 as a Sunday School project, to let children and their parents know about the love of Christ. In 1891 our first building was erected. In 1949, with continued growth in church membership and the planned construction of Kirkwood Highway, the church moved to its present location. In 1962, the Education Building was added to accommodate a growing Sunday School. In 1991, the Education Building was expanded and connected to the Sanctuary. In 2000, and elevator was added. In this same year, the congregation finally agreed to install air-conditioning for the sanctuary.
